Accelerated Growth, Recycling Centers Expansion and DEACERO® Social Responsibility
In this decade, two milestones took place in the company’s history: the acquisition of 8 foreign and domestic companies that contributed to our growth, as well as the operational start-up of manufacturing in the US.


2000: Addition to our portfolio of Wright, mesh manufacturing brand leader in the US.

2001 and 2002: Recycling capacity increase by opening two Recycling Centers in San Nicolás, N.L. and Puebla, Pue.

2004: Opening of the Recycling Center in Guadalajara, as well as operational kickoff of manufacturing for nails and staples in the Guadalupe Wire Plant (Planta de Alambres Guadalupe).

2005: Start of the DEACERO® Fundation, an effort to formalize our contribution to improving the quality of life of our people and the communities where we operate.
Acquisition and merging of Acerocentro to DEACERO®.

2006: Operations of DEACERO® USA in the US. and acquisition of Stay-Tuff, an agriculture fencing manufacturing brand leader in Texas.
Addition of a new Recycling Center in Hermosillo.
Production capacity increase in the Celaya Steel Mill (Acería Celaya).

2007: Operational start-up of the Guadalupe Recycling Center, the most state-of-the-art facility in Latin America, and the Matamoros Recycling Center.
Production kickoff at the Querétaro Plant (Planta Querétaro).
Acquisition of Lemac, a gabion manufacturing company, and Cablesa in Mexico, as well as EMC and Washington Wire Rope in the US.
