Considering the emissions generated in our steel mill and rolling mill operations, we have achieved the most competitive emission rate of tons of CO2 per ton of steel produced in North America, reaching only 0.36 tCO2 per ton of hot-rolled steel addressing Scope 1 and 2.
We were the first steel company in Latin America to perform Life Cycle Assessments and pioneers in Mexico in preparing Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) in 2018.
