The ESR Distinction is an award granted by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI).
In 2024, DEACERO® was recognized with the LOGRA Award from the United Nations Global Compact in the "Planet" category for our "Decarbonization Pathway" as part of our sustainability actions.
The LOGRA Awards highlight the leadership and positive impact of companies in terms of sustainability and contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals. The LOGRA Awards are a benchmark for accelerating the necessary change in the global context, fostering progress towards an inclusive and environmentally sustainable society.
DEACERO® is committed to the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative, endorsing its fight against the climate crisis.
SBTi is an organization that promotes, through standards, tools and guidelines, that companies establish greenhouse gas reduction goals aligned with international climate objectives to limit global warming.
There are currently 51 Mexican companies that have committed to SBTi.
In 2024 BBVA granted DEACERO® a green financing for $200 M USD, which consists of a 5-year loan that will be used to finance steel purchases for recycling in order to continue promoting the circular economy in our supply chain.
DEACERO® has been recognized for its efforts and contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) reflected in the First Voluntary Report of Companies in Mexico on the 2030 Agenda, presented at the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in New York.
This acknowledgment, promoted by the Business Coordinating Council (CCE) and the Ministry of Economy, underscores the essential role of the private sector in promoting sustainable development in Mexico.

We participate annually in EcoVadis, a leading platform for evaluating corporate sustainability, used by organizations around the world to measure and improve their performance in ESG criteria.
DEACERO® received the ELIS Award in the environmental category for its circular economy strategy, focused on waste reduction, resource optimization and the recovery and recycling of materials.
The Leading Companies in Sustainable Innovation Awards, organized by HSBC in partnership with EY, celebrate companies that drive innovative solutions to environmental, social and governance (ESG) challenges, contributing to a more sustainable economy.

This is supported by the certification of our Environmental Management System, based on the ISO 14001:2015 standard, implemented at seven of our operating sites.
